Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Pay it Forward Fund. If you're interested in reading more about the fund itself or looking to donate, please click here.
Because of your kind donations, we have been able to offer the following opportunities (most recent to earliest):
December 2025
Pantomime, Market Deeping Community Primary School
Over 100 students and their teachers enjoyed a free pantomime performance at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham. This was the first time the school had attended the Grantham pantomime, as they do not have a theatre or pantomime venue nearby. Funding for the tickets enabled the school to cover travel costs, making the trip possible.
The children had a fantastic time, engaging with the performance as an enthusiastic and interactive audience. For many of them, this was not only their first pantomime but also their first-ever theatre experience.
October 2024
Braeburn Lodge, Deepings
Practitioner Martyn Bignell led a six-week program of themed activities for residents, including those in general living and the dementia ward. The themes ranged from "A Day at the Beach" and "Health and Wellness" to creating their very own silent movie.
Each session featured engaging, hands-on craft activities, such as making bunting and designing Zen gardens, all aimed at sparking conversations, reminiscing, and promoting movement. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the experience, finding the sessions both creative and stimulating. The staff also appreciated the sessions taking away skills and new ideas for the future.
'The team at Braeburn Lodge were all super thankful to have the project there and hope to do more in the future.'
August 2024
St Barnabas Wellbeing Centre in Grantham, Art Class
Quote from Engagement Officer:
'Most of the people there are managing grief and although this is a unique journey for everyone, it is a benefit to escape from it for a few hours while the brain focuses on creating something as beautiful as these paintings.
The artist who led the group was amazing and very patient. There were a few people that didn’t feel they could paint the picture and were reluctant to do the more intricate steps. She explained that everyone’s would be different and unique to them. She was right and the session resulted in some very proud people who couldn’t wait to take them home to show their families and friends.
Thank you so much for the opportunity for doing this.'
One attendee thanked us for the session and left saying 'I feel so much less stressed than when I arrived'
April 2024
Art Pop Up Youth Group - Dune at Stamford Arts Centre
Your donations allowed 8 young people aged 14-19 to attend one of our cinema screenings with 2 of the group leaders. The feedback below is extremely valuable, as highlights the wonderful impact these donations are having.
'Thank you once again for facilitating this for these young people. We have some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the local area in our programme who are unable to access the arts/culture usually and experience considerable social ostracism and economic exclusion, so opportunities such as this are very meaningful.'
'Just wanted to drop a quick note with a very big thank you for last nights tickets. None of the group had been to the cinema - either ever or in a very long time, most of them had ever set foot in the arts centre.''
March 2024
Don't Lose Hope - Hey Beatles at Bourne Corn Exchange
Attending live events and live theatre is shown to have positive affects on our Mental Wellbeing, create positive social connections, and develop a sense of belonging.
We were pleased to be able to extend an invite out to the members and families of Don't Lose Hope in Bourne. Their aim is to enhance the well-being of members, and through your donations we were able to play a small part in their programme of events.
December 2023
Harrowby Infants School - Guildhall Arts Centre Pantomime
The fund was able to subsidise tickets to ensure all children could attend the performance.
'We are a deprived school, with refugee children, children in care and families accessing the food bank provision. This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for some of our children, and we would love them all to be able to attend.'
October 2023
St. Augustine's Academy in Stamford - Monster in my Show, Stamford Arts Centre
We invited 40 students and 10 years from St Augustine's to come and experience the magic of live theatre! They watched 'There's a Monster in my Show' which is based on the popular children's book by Tom Fletcher.
They really enjoyed the experience and it was great to welcome then into the theatre.
