A NIGHT IN KILKENNY - STARRING 'THE KILKENNY'S'
Irish eyes will be smiling in Grantham in April 2024 when `A Night In Kilkenny` comes to the Meres Leisure Centre - starring internationally renowned Irish folk and ballad band The Kilkennys - direct from County Kilkenny, Ireland.
The night will aim to recreate a typical Irish sing-along pub atmosphere, with the `resident` house band The Kilkennys live on stage, singing all the classic Irish songs. There will even be plenty of Guinness on sale at the Meres Leisure Centre bar!
Renowned for their musicianship and vocal abilities, The Kilkennys have gained a reputation for revitalising traditional Irish music and adding their own touch of passion and energy.
Formed at a very young age, The Kilkennys have toured all over Ireland and have taken their music as far afield as Las Vegas, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Abu Dhabi and the Czech Republic.
The band have almost three million YouTube hits and a packed schedule of shows for 2024 all over the world. Their Grantham concert will be part of an extensive two-week tour of Great Britain.
Davey Cashin, Tommy Mackey, Mick Martin and Josh O`Loughlin are excited about bringing their brand of traditional Irish music to a Lincolnshire audience. Come along and join in the blarney fun for a great evening of Irish music and song!
Hear all the traditional Irish drinking songs, famous the world over, including: “The Galway Girl”, “Hills Of Donegal”, “The Irish Rover”, “Go Lassie Go”, “Rocky Road To Dublin”, “Belfast Mill”, “Dirty Old Town”, “Spanish Lady”, “Black Velvet Band”, “Parting Glass”, “Fields Of Athenry”, “Tell Me Ma” & many more!
The Kilkenny’s create a fantastic atmosphere at their live shows – and are often referred to as a younger version of the iconic Irish band, The Dubliners. Their last UK tour posted the `sold-out` notices at several of its venues. Their Grantham show is their only Lincolnshire date.
