Joseph Beech became Sub-Organist of Durham Cathedral in September 2019, serving as the principal accompanist for the Cathedral Choir and assisting in conducting and training choristers. Previously, he was Assistant Master of the Music at St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh, accompanying services, recordings, and tours. A native of Nottingham and later a resident of Grantham he was part of the St Wulfram’s music scene for many years, Afterwards he held scholarships at St George's Chapel, Windsor, and the Royal Academy of Music, where he won a Regency Award. He also held organ scholarships at major London churches. Beyond Durham, he performs across the UK and Germany and teaches organ. He is Vice-President of the Edinburgh Society of Organists. Andrew Forbes is a Scottish organist. He is the Director of Music of Glasgow Cathedral and the Artistic Director of Glasgow Cathedral Festival. He is also a harpsichordist and conductor. In addition to his work at Glasgow Cathedral, he has a freelance career as a soloist and ensemble player, with appearances on BBC TV and radio, and concert performances across Europe.
