Kyan String Quartet

Kyan String Quartet

A Grantham Music Club Concert.

The Kyan Quartet, prizewinners of the 2024 Royal Over-Seas League and 2025 City Music Foundation artists, unites musicians from the UK, US, China, and France. Founded in 2020, they perform globally in venues like Wigmore Hall and Shanghai Opera House. Upcoming highlights include a Scottish tour (Tunnell Trust award), joining the Carducci Quartet’s Barbican Shostakovich cycle, and guitar quintets with Ahmed Dickinson. Residencies at Britten Pears and South Downs festivals, plus mentorship from Belcea Quartet members and others, shape their artistry. Committed to accessibility, they engage in outreach (Live Music Now, dementia-friendly concerts) and education (school workshops, Junior Royal Academy). Champions of new music, they premiere works by Florence Anna Maunders, Zhenyan Li, and collaborate on recordings like Cem Güven’s Atmospheric Manipulations. Supported by Le Dimore del Quartetto, they blend tradition with innovation.
