built on work done by his predecessors, to which he added profound contributions to many topics including optics and gravity. Festival patron Professor Val Gibson will present, with demonstrations, what she considers to be his top 10 scientific achievements, and how they relate to the science of today. Val Gibson is Head of High Energy Physics at the University of Cambridge. She gained her doctorate degree in Experimental Particle Physics from Queen’s College Oxford and has previously held a physics fellowship at CERN.
