When Dibley’s aged vicar finally goes to a better place, the church’s tiny congregation await his replacement with baited breath. When the new vicar turns out to be Geraldine, a “bombshell with a bob cut”, snooty parish council chairman David Horton is determined to have her replaced. Dibley is home to a gaggle of eccentric characters including endearingly simple verger Alice, farmer Owen who’s obsessed with his bowels, and culinary innovator Mrs Cropley. No-no-not to mention stammering Jim, pedantic secretary Frank and loveable Hugo – David’s dithering son. We’ll be sharing classic episodes from the much-loved sitcom, with plenty of laughs and heart-warming moments.Dibley may not be ready for its first woman vicar, but can Geraldine Grainger change David’s opinion and remain in the village she comes to love?
